Job Summary

Creative Financial Staffing seeks a seasoned Human Resources professional to lead our talent management initiatives as an HR Director. This pivotal role drives strategic objectives, fosters a culture of excellence, and empowers organizational growth.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly in relation to current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigating complaints and providing recommendations for solutions.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff when complex questions and issues arise; administer routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as reasonable accommodation, investigations, and terminations.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for non-exempt roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and oversee a central interviewing, hiring, and screening process and maintenance of staff personnel files, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Manage a PEO that administers a benefit program including health, dental, flexible benefits, and others as deemed appropriate. Ensure changes in benefit plans and open enrollment information are provided to all employees.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversee the new hire orientation and onboarding process in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. This includes training required for compliance audits.
  • Maintain organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manage the recruitment/new hire process including scheduling and completing all new hire documents with new employees.
  • Monitor Federal, State, and local laws related to HR and respond appropriately; administer compliance with HR-related laws: COBRA, ADA, FLSA, FMLA (when applicable).
  • Develop and maintain performance appraisal systems and evaluation systems; review all employee appraisal documents to ensure objectivity and internal consistency.
  • Review, develop, and implement agency personnel policies and procedures related to state and federal laws using corporate policies as a foundation.
  • Develop and support ongoing programs for staff supervision, trainings, professional development, and job performance recognition (including years of service and other recognition programs).
  • Prepare HR-related monthly and quarterly reports for the corporate office as requested.
  • Prepare required government reports including Workers Compensation.
  • Conduct exit interviews, market surveys, and compensation analysis as needed.
  • Respond to external inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and monitor accuracy of all aspects of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and PEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local laws.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems, including HRIS.
  • Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
