Professor (Endowed Chair & GRA Eminent Scholar)

We are seeking a distinguished scholar-educator to join our faculty as the Hightower Chair and Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar. This endowed position is designed to attract exceptional talent in the field of environmental technologies and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead research programs in environmental technologies and sustainability, with a focus on smart cities, sustainable systems, and healthy communities.
- Develop and teach courses in civil and environmental engineering, with a focus on innovative teaching methods and student mentorship.
- Build and lead extramurally funded research programs, with a focus on national and international recognition.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop the next generation of environmental technologies, devices, and systems.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in civil and environmental engineering or a related field.
- Established record of accomplishment in leading large multi-institution and multi-disciplinary collaborative research efforts.
- Strong leadership skills, with a focus on faculty development and student mentorship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
