Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Coordinator II to join our team at Dallas County. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and coordination of day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities for a defined funded program or project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and scheduling program work plans in accordance with specifications and funding limitations.
  • Oversee daily operations and coordinate activities of the program, determining priorities as needed.
  • Ensure the service delivery network meets the needs of the intended population, reflects the objectives and intent of the program or project, and meets applicable federal guidelines.
  • Coordinate activities of the program with interrelated activities of other programs, departments, or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods, devise evaluation methodology, and implement analysis of results, recommending and/or taking appropriate action.
  • Assist in writing, editing, and coordinating the development of promotional, educational, and training materials, newsletters, or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
  • Collect and analyze data, preparing scheduled and special reports, maintaining program/project records and statistical information.
  • Assist with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program.
  • Prepare periodic reports, financial statements, and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
Requirements
  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration, Accounting, Behavioral Science, or in a job-related field of study.
  • Skilled in the use of standard software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.
