Job Title: Transportation Planning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planning Specialist to join our team at McAdams. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and plan production skills, with experience in transportation planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete tasks supporting our transportation planning, active transportation, and grant funding advisory practices.
  • Collect, analyze, maintain, and present data and public input.
  • Use ArcGIS Pro to analyze demographics, trends, survey inputs, and spatial data, and create high-quality maps and cartographic products.
  • Conduct field observations and data collection activities.
  • Develop project strategy for each project, identifying milestones, appropriate planning techniques, stakeholders, schedule, and overall project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field.
  • 0-2 years active transportation experience in the public or private sector (including internships).
  • Proficiency in Esri GIS software.
  • Proficiency in demographic analysis of US Census data.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
