Job Title: Director of Public Relations

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our public relations and communications efforts. As a key member of our marketing team, you will develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan, integrating public relations, social media, and marketing communications to drive revenue for our hotel's Rooms Division, Food and Beverage outlets, and Spa.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an annual PR strategy in alignment with our marketing plan, including media relations, paid digital marketing, restaurant and bar marketing, and segment strategies.
  • Create innovative publicity programs to increase awareness and positive perception of our hotel, its restaurants, bars, spa, and personnel.
  • Maximize media coverage through targeted editorial pitch plans, maintaining professional relationships with key media contacts.
  • Take a lead role in crisis communications, providing strategic counsel to senior management.
  • Manage website content, updates, and optimization to generate revenue and align with our brand positioning.
  • Oversee social media and digital efforts, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with the brand standards for marketing communications.
  • Proofread all marketing materials to ensure high-quality content and presentation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Marketing.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5-7 years of experience in public relations or a related field.
  • University degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven relationships with media, community, and business contacts.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), creative mindset, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in social media networks and related monitoring tools.
  • Ability to create newsworthy events, develop story ideas, and follow through on pitch leads.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Restaurant/Bar Marketing PR experience.
  • Paid Media (campaigns, search, social media, etc) experience.
  • Social Media Strategy.
  • Hotel or Food & Beverage experience is required.
  • Crisis media training is a plus.
  • Leadership experience as a Director or Senior Manager of PR with direct reports.

As a strategic communications advisor to management, you will play a key role in reputation management, issue management, crisis communications, community relations, CSR initiatives, internal communications, and other activities specific to our hotel and VIP guests.

Salary: $115,000 USD + 10% annual incentive bonus plan
