Full-Time Cancer Care Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cancer Care Specialist to join our oncology office team. As a specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations focused on cancer care.

About the Role

This is a full-time direct hire position with a great compensation package, including a salary of $19-29/hour depending on experience. The successful candidate will work closely with oncology pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure accurate and safe preparation of medications, particularly chemotherapy and biotherapy preparations.

You will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations, including assisting in the preparation of chemotherapy and other cancer-related medications, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment that complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-year experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in oncology IV mixing of chemotherapy drugs. Biotherapy certification is highly desirable.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience in pharmacy operations, including proficiency in the preparation of chemotherapy medications.
  • Competency in using pharmacy information systems and software is essential, along with a basic understanding of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in pharmacy technology or a related field is a plus.
