Massachusetts Bay Community College is seeking a skilled Certified Nurse's Assistant Instructor to join our vibrant educational community. With a focus on fostering academic success and promoting local and global citizenship, this part-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for teaching and working with diverse populations.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess a Registered Nurse License in Massachusetts and at least two years of nursing experience, including Long-Term Care (LTC) experience. They will assist students in registering for the Massachusetts State CNA licensing exam, instructing them according to the curriculum designed to build knowledge and clinical skills aimed at passing the licensing exam for Massachusetts CNA. The instructor must be able to work with students from different socioeconomic and educational backgrounds, teaching a minimum of 80 hours of classroom instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
* Teach the course curriculum as outlined in the manual entitled, Nursing Assisting: A Foundation in Care Giving 5th Edition Hartman 2020, using the companion instructor's guide;
* Build knowledge and develop clinical skills aimed at assisting students in obtaining the CNA license;
* Maintain accurate records on all students, including attendance records, schedules, and course requirements regarding hours of instruction and content;
* Evaluate and document student progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained;
* Communicate effectively with students, staff at clinical training facilities, other staff, and prospective employers;
* Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and concepts of good patient care.

Required Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse License in Massachusetts;
* Two years nursing experience;
* LTC experience;
* Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting.

Estimated Salary Range: $50 per hour,
