As a Post-Anesthesia Care Assistant, you will be responsible for safe transportation of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, collaborating with team members, and providing exceptional patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

  • You will work in a dynamic environment in the North Tower, caring for patients from several service lines, including general surgery, colo-rectal, vascular, urology, and gynecology.
  • Collaboration with team members across the tower is crucial to providing care safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and appropriate documentation of services.
  • Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation.
  • Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
  • Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
  • Current CNA certification preferred.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
