Job Description

Job Title: Heavy Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Assembler to join our team at Aerotek. As a Heavy Assembler, you will be responsible for performing diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble for all types of water pumping stations and component sub-assemblies or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble for all types of water pumping stations and component sub-assemblies or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.
  • Assembly procedures usually prescribed, and operations are recognized as standard practices. Do skilled fittings of parts, sub-assemblies and related units.
  • Do aligning, adjusting and required secondary machining.
  • May assign work, instruct and check work and procedures for assemblers of lower classification and helpers.
  • Work from complicated drawings and specifications.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
  • Assignments are given progress supervision and check, final assemblies are inspected and tested.
  • Work requires skill and assembling techniques, plus experience and knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles.

Requirements:

  • Skilled in assembly and erection operations.
  • Ability to work from complicated drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
