Job Summary:

At Waterbury Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatric patients. Your expertise will include performing respiratory therapy, monitoring and documenting patient care, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform respiratory therapy on patients, including ventilation and airway management
  • Draw arterial blood gases and assist with bronchoscopies
  • Monitor and document patient care in the electronic medical record
  • Consult with physicians and nurses to modify therapy as needed

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program
  • CT state Respiratory Therapy license required
  • Registered or registry eligible with the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • CPR certification required
