Job Title: Contract Manager

NG Companies is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and managing contract-related risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Review and Compliance: Ensure all contracts meet NG's high standards and agreed-upon terms, verify critical clauses related to indemnity, insurance requirements, materials handling, payment terms, and retainage.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in contract terms, protect NG's interests with bulletproof contracts, and work closely with legal counsel to navigate and resolve any legal issues.
  • Negotiation and Liaison: Negotiate contract terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, aiming for the best possible outcomes for NG, and be the go-to person for all contract-related communications.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Keep meticulous records of all contracts, amendments, and related documents, and ensure all executed contracts are organized and easily accessible.
  • Training and Support: Empower project and area managers, and other staff, with training and support on contract terms and conditions, and assist in crafting and implementing robust contract management policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve with industry best practices and legal developments in contract management, and always be on the lookout for ways to enhance our contract management processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in contract management within the construction or utility services industry, proven expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of contract law and construction industry standards, stellar negotiation and communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, organizational prowess, and analytical thinking.
  • Attributes: Proactive and independent work style, strong team player, exceptional problem-solving skills, unwavering integrity and professional ethics.

Compensation: $68,000-78,000 annually DOE, benefits include Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, PTO, 401K with match.
