Echocardiographer Cardiac Sonography Technologist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer Cardiac Sonography Technologist to join our team at Beacon Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound, non-invasive diagnostic studies of the heart and/or other related studies, under the general supervision of a performing physician.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Conduct Echocardiograms and provide education to patients and families
* Perform all types of echocardiographic procedures, including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color flow, and Stress Echo on adults and children
* Prepare data for physician interpretation
* Maintain daily logbook and ensure Echo reports are completed in Vericis prior to physician read
* Keep patient records on file in the Department for comparison with current Echo
* Monitor stock supplies and materials, and report shortages
* Keep the rooms and department areas neat and orderly
* Perform QA checks as directed
* Interact with physicians to present data for measurement and analysis, and participate in physician's interpretation or reading sessions

**Requirements**

* RDCS or RCS certification required; new graduates must obtain within 2 years of graduation
* Current CPR certification required
* 1-2 years of job-related experience preferred
* Proficiently performed all types of adult and pediatric Echocardiograms in a busy Echo Lab, highly preferred

**Working Conditions**

* Must have the ability to concentrate despite distracting surroundings
* Hours may vary to cover team members' absences or as requested by Manager/Director

**Physical Demands**

* Requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position, including walking/standing for prolonged periods, pushing carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, positioning/lifting patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, and providing CPR
