About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP. As a key member of our infrastructure quality control group, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet our high standards.

Job Summary

About the Position

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of specific field construction inspection experience in roadway and bridge construction, utility construction, and related pavement rehabilitation projects. They will also possess strong communication skills, the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and basic computer skills (Word & Excel).

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and performing daily construction management and inspection services for various types of NCDOT and locality transportation projects.
  • Performing field inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Preparing daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractors.
  • Maintaining testing logs and reviewing periodic pay estimates for accuracy.
  • Communicating effectively with engineers, owners, and project teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or other advanced certificate desirable.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • NCDOT certifications.
  • OSHA Construction 10 Hour certification.
