Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff RN PRN to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients and families, identifying individualized care needs and developing comprehensive care plans that address their unique requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Education and Support: Provide patient and family education, empowering them to take an active role in their care and promoting a culture of health and wellness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely and effective communication with the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with a preference for experience in pediatric care.
  • Certifications: Current and valid Nebraska RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
