Job Summary

Idaho Milk Products is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Ice Cream Plant Manager to lead our state-of-the-art ice cream manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production, quality control, and efficiency of our ice cream operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage production staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Production Management: Supervise all aspects of ice cream production, including mixing, aging, freezing, product filling, and packaging.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to maintain consistent and excellent product quality.
  • Equipment and Technology: Oversee maintenance and operation of high-tech ice cream production equipment.
  • Inventory and Logistics: Manage inventory levels, raw materials, and finished goods, and coordinate logistics for distribution and delivery.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage production budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor expenses related to labor, materials, and utilities.
  • Sustainability: Implement industry-leading sustainability practices within the plant, such as waste reduction and energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in food production management, preferably in ice cream or dairy products.
  • Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with automated production systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, SQF, etc.).
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
