As a Clinical Therapist - Behavioral Health Specialist, you'll play a vital role in delivering individual, family, and group psychotherapy services, combined with intensive care coordination and personalized support across various settings.

About the Role

This position is responsible for observing policies, procedures, and safeguards to protect the privacy of health information in compliance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, sound clinical and therapeutic skills, and the ability to accurately document events and work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop service plans through team collaboration that clearly define youth goals, interventions, service outcomes, safety plans, visitation plans, and discharge plans quarterly.
  • Provide direct and indirect clinical services to Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) children and their families, as well as clinical oversight to Case Managers, Behavioral Health Associates, and therapeutic foster care providers.
  • Document all services provided to youth and families in a timely manner and interface with local service providers on a regular basis.
  • Actively participate in weekly supervision with the Clinical Director and maintain all confidentiality laws and follow mandatory reporting laws.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve productivity targets and contribute to program and policy development.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Two years of professional experience in family and children's services, including working with individuals identified with developmental disabilities and/or as severely emotionally disturbed.
  • Pursuing licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.
