At Olentangy Motor Inn/Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dynamic hotel team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guests.

Compensation: This is a full-time position with an estimated hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary: We are looking for a results-driven and organized individual to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the cleaning of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring that our hotel meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Department Management: Open and close the housekeeping department as needed, prepare room assignment reports for room attendants, and assign houseman their daily duties.
  • Employee Management: Overall management of all employees assigned to the department, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and training to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Communication: Establish good working relationships and teamwork with all other departments, including the Maintenance department, to ensure that problems are corrected promptly and efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Conduct daily checks to ensure that all rooms and public areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Linen Management: Assist in the re-supplying of all linen closets and ensure that all staff has the necessary linens to complete their duties.
  • Lost and Found: Record all lost and found items and coordinate with other departments to ensure that they are returned to their rightful owners.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure that guest satisfaction is maintained and any follow-up items or problems are addressed promptly.
  • Cleaning Logs: Maintain all department cleaning logs as per hotel standards.
  • Availability: The hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, are required.
  • Communication: Handle all interactions with hotel employees and guests in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all hotel and brand standards are met to ensure the safety of all guests and employees.
  • Maintenance: Report any maintenance equipment issues to the supervisor and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Health and Safety: Report any health, safety, or hazard issues to the supervisor and ensure that all necessary precautions are taken.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be designated by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Reliability: Must be able to demonstrate reliable and timely attendance.
  • Time Management: Must be able to manage time and complete tasks on schedule and efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Requires good communication skills to effectively interact with hotel employees and guests.
