Job Summary

The Department of Defense seeks a highly skilled Prevention Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive primary prevention plans to address harmful behaviors. The ideal candidate will have expertise in behavioral or social sciences, as well as experience in advising leaders on primary prevention activities.

About the Role:

  • Develop comprehensive integrated primary prevention (CIPP) plans to prevent harm to service members and their families.
  • Advise senior leaders on primary prevention strategies and public health approaches.
  • Collaborate with personnel across prevention disciplines to ensure consistent messaging and unified efforts.
  • Educate leaders on integrated primary prevention and enhance overall leader knowledge.
  • Design process and outcome evaluation plans for primary prevention activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science or related field.
  • Four years of experience in prevention work, including developing prevention plans and advising leaders.
  • Experience in building community capacity through outreach and education.
