Shipbuilding Supervisor

This role involves overseeing a team of skilled trade professionals in the fabrication and/or assembly of products for ship construction at Fincantieri Marine Group. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures, implementing organizational policies, and measuring performance against budget targets.

• Oversee the execution of safety and security protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
• Implement company policies and goals, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Monitor performance against budget and collaborate with management on budget analysis and adherence.
• Support production control projects by providing expertise and guidance.
• Manage work packs according to the production control plan, optimizing resource allocation and efficiency.
• Plan and schedule overtime as required, aligning with business objectives.
• Foster collaboration with management to revise project and facility objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Understand and adhere to union contract requirements, maintaining positive relationships with employees.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of relevant trade experience, and familiarity with manufacturing or shipbuilding environments. Key skills include leadership, teamwork, business acumen, and ability to interpret blueprints. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and strong organizational abilities are also essential.
