- 2+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Familiarity with CAD packages such as NX/Solidworks
- Experience with analysis tools like Simcenter, FEMAP, Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, or LS-Dyna
- A strong understanding and application of drafting standards and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) in creating drawings
- An understanding of weld classifications per NASA 5006A and associated inspection requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field
Bonus Points
If you have any of the following skills or experiences, you'll be at an advantage:
- A proven history of successful hardware in launch vehicles or space systems
- Structural optimization using standard industry codes (HEEDS, HyperX, Optistruct, NX Topology, Nastran Sol 200, Attune (IMAT))
- Experience with NASGRO
- Familiarity with AIAA S-080
- Rigging and lifting analysis for large metallic structures
- Familiarity with industry-standard weld codes such as AWS D17.1, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2
- A design portfolio
Salary and Benefits
Your salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience. In addition to your salary, you'll enjoy a comprehensive employee package, including company equity, medical benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan, generous PTO policy, employee discounts, and more.
ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
