Critical Care Nurse for Pulmonary Medicine ICU

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team on the 12th floor of UK Chandler Hospital's Pavilion A PULMONARY MEDICINE ICU. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care to critically ill patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, CHF, GI bleed, COPD, drug overdose, and multisystem organ failure.
The primary responsibilities for this position include assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care. This involves delivering direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction, and adhering to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.
The ICU environment supports collaborative efforts among the nursing staff and the team of physicians to increase communication and enhance expected patient outcomes. Our unit utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care, ensuring patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs)
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an ICU or critical care setting is preferred. BSN degree is also highly recommended.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is approximately $$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
