Job Overview

We are seeking a Debris Field Inspector to join our team. As a Debris Field Inspector, you will be responsible for confirming debris eligibility by documenting the location of debris and the volume of debris collected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and observe all loading activities of trucks, bobcats, and front-end loaders to ensure they are loading only storm-related debris on public rights-of-way or property.
  • Verify that contractors are picking up all eligible debris and clearing branches and other debris off roadways and private driveways before moving on.
  • Fill out Load Tickets completely and accurately.
  • Record any damages caused by contractors.
  • Remain courteous, respectful, and professional at all times with residents, contractors, county or city officials, and fellow employees.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Have valid car insurance.
  • Have a dependable vehicle.
  • Ability to work 12-14 hour days.
  • Be able to climb staircases and ladders at least 10 feet.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Possess a cellular phone with a car charger.

About the Role:

This is a contract position that may require travel on short notice. Shifts may be up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, with mileage reimbursement. The duration of the contract will depend on the disaster response needs.
