Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Specialist to join our team at TotalMed. As a critical care specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.

About the Role

This is a 92-day assignment with a competitive salary of $30,494 per month and opportunities for housing. Our client facility is located in Merced, California, offering a unique blend of urban and rural living. Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing rapid assessment and treatment to patients with emergent medical conditions in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
  • Administering medications, performing procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize patients and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitoring patient vital signs, response to treatment, and changes in condition, adjusting care plans as necessary to address emergent needs.
  • Advocating for patients' needs and coordinating care transitions, including admissions to inpatient units or referrals to specialty services.
  • Educating patients and their families on post-emergency care instructions, follow-up appointments, and community resources for ongoing support.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A current RN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Two years of recent ER RN experience.
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
