Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UVA Health. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diagnostic radiology to ensure the production of high-quality images of all anatomical structures for interpretation by Radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain required equipment necessary to produce radiographic images.
  • Adhere to established imaging protocols and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow established standards to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Support the educational component of the organizational mission statement; seek opportunities to teach and learn in accordance with department/organizational standards, policies, and protocols.
  • Take ownership of the clinical area; demonstrate pride in appearance and ensure readiness of exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited JRC program in Radiography required. Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL) may be required.
Physical Demands

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: (computer keyboard). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
