CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Strategic Business Partner - Human Resources to support multiple business units across Willdan. The successful candidate will facilitate workforce planning, employee engagement, coaching/performance management, talent development, employee relations, communications, and operational initiatives in alignment with business unit needs and goals.
Responsibilities- Deliver HR consultation to leaders in assigned business units and/or geographic regions that aligns with business objectives.
- Facilitate strategic people planning efforts, including workforce expansions, contract project startups, restructuring, compensation, job evaluations, performance management, mergers and acquisitions, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Lead compensation activities, including determining exemption status, wage ranges, job pricing, merit, and other wage increases.
- Facilitate effective management of individual and organizational performance through support of the performance appraisal process, performance improvement activities, and coaching of leaders and employees.
- Work with key stakeholders to effectively and timely respond to employee relations matters, workplace investigations, ethics hotline reports, injured workers' needs, and leave of absence situations.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial psychology, business, or related area preferred.
- Four or more years of progressively responsible human resources generalist experience.
- Experience working in professional services industries such as engineering, energy sustainability, software development, project/contractual work is preferred.
- Ability to operate with care and compassion for fellow colleagues and promote a positive work environment.
