We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Newbridge Health & Wellness. As an acute care RN, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
About the JobThis is a full-time night shift position that requires strong clinical nursing skills for a new graduate RN. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in all patient care areas, including frequent prolonged standing/walking and lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to speak, read, and write English to the extent required by the position.
Job Description- Assessment, treatment, and patient care responsibilities are delivered with a knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
- Identifies and documents initial observation and assessment of the patient's needs for immediate nursing action.
- Selects, plans, evaluates, and documents care based on this assessment.
- Collaborates with all members of the health care team.
You will also be responsible for:
- Transcribing physician's orders in patient chart accurately and timely (when Ward Clerk is not available).
- Administering intravenous medications in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Titrating medicated infusions as per physician's prescriptives, protocols, and standards.
- Transporting patients to operating room and from post anesthesia care unit.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds by presenting findings on patients, apply principles of infection control and safety, and assist in the orientation of new personnel.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current NJ licensure as RN.
- BLS & IV certification required.
- One year medical surgical experience preferred.
