Technical Android Developer for Wearable Devices

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our team at Neurable and contribute to the development of innovative mobile applications for wearable devices. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality consumer Android applications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain new features of the Neurable app for Android in alignment with our product roadmap.
  • Design and implement user interfaces (UI) for the wearable app, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience on small screens with touch/gesture-based interaction.
  • Manage the codebase using git, ensuring clean and organized code for ongoing and future development.
  • Work closely with our Product Owner, Tech Lead, and Engineering Manager to refine requirements.
  • Actively participate in Agile sprint planning alongside our Engineering Manager.
  • Collaborate with Firmware and Cloud engineers to ensure seamless integration with the mobile app.
  • Coordinate new application builds and Play Store releases with our QA engineer.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in developing high-quality consumer Android applications, successfully launching one or more apps on the Google Play Store, and proficiency in technologies such as Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, JUnit/Mockk, Coroutines, Room Database, Hilt, Retrofit, GraphQL (Apollo library), BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), and Bluetooth Classic.

Requirements
  • Familiarity with Gradle, Fastlane, CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Firebase (crash analytics, performance monitoring), and AppCenter (distribution of test builds).
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Passion for innovation and a strong interest in Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of Agile software development processes and practices.
