As our Repair Tech (Guitar), you will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer-owned instruments, assist in maintaining store inventory, and continuously contribute to business growth through excellent customer experiences and quality work.

To be successful as our Repair Technician, you should possess the following key characteristics:

  • Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles and provides an exceptional customer experience. Connects with customers meaningfully, being approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed to helping customers resolve issues.
  • Initiative: Identifies opportunities and issues, follows through on work activities, and capitalizes or resolves them promptly. Develops knowledge and skills, including product, store operations, sales, and leadership.
  • Selling: Works through GC's certification program to gain a solid understanding of products and sales techniques.
  • Training: Effectively trains learners and communicates information and techniques to ensure retention.

Your responsibilities as our Repair Technician will include:

  • Interacting with customers to ensure a positive experience
  • Providing high-quality service for customer-owned instruments
  • Maintaining store-owned gear upon request
  • Completing warranty repair work
  • Additional duties assigned by management

At Guitar Center, we offer:

  • A competitive estimated salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year

To excel in this position, you must have a skilled understanding of repairing guitars. Additionally, foundational product knowledge on Guitar Center products is preferred.
