Job Summary:

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Fleet Ballistic Missile Program team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the production integrated product team with flight test support, planning, and coordination. You will also coordinate with the flight test IPT lead to ensure the success of the schedule and technical maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the production integrated product team with flight test support, planning, and coordination.
  • Coordinate with the flight test IPT lead to ensure the success of the schedule and technical maturity.
  • Support the coordination of planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of production IPT deliverables and work products within the area of assigned responsibility.
  • Support ad-hoc tasking, including briefing senior leadership on cost, schedule, and technical.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or a combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to perform one or more of the following: manage cost, manage scheduling, or manage technical scope.
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Final Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Project management.
  • Experience with working with hardware (mechanical or electrical).
  • Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment).
  • Lean six-sigma experience.
  • Experience leading/integrating solutions for geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Navy Strategic System Partners (SSP) Customer.
  • Experience with a combination of design, test, operations, and systems engineering disciplines.
  • Experience on a missile program.
  • Experience with missile design development and production program.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

Work Schedule Information:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington, or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.
