Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Altru Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily rounds to ensure quality customer service and address any patient requirements.
  • Develop a plan of care based on patient assessment, reflecting their physical, psychological, social, educational, and rehabilitative needs.
  • Assess patient condition and nursing needs, set goals, and prescribe appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals.
  • Identify early warning signs of a change in patient condition and respond accordingly.
  • Report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the multidisciplinary team and record those observations accurately.
  • Establish and maintain communication with patients and other significant individuals.
  • Begin discharge planning, education, and counseling based on identified needs to optimize patient understanding.
  • Assign or delegate nursing interventions to other persons with the necessary skills and competence.
Certification and Education
  • Registered Nurse certification from the North Dakota Board of Nursing or Compact State Agreement.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
Working Conditions

This role requires occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling/finger/feel. The physical demands of this position are medium, with a requirement to lift, carry, push, and pull up to medium pounds. The working conditions are primarily indoor, with no outdoor or extreme temperature requirements.

This is an infrequent driver position, with no requirement for professional, frequent, or occasional driving.
