At Forefront Dermatology, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of attention and support.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent medical office experience and be proficient in basic computer functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform opening and closing clinic duties
  • Greet patients, check in for appointments, and verify insurance
  • Scans documents into electronic health record
  • Maintain tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
  • Checks schedules for added, canceled, and no-show appointments throughout the day
  • Schedules follow-up appointments as needed
  • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
  • Orders clinic office supplies
  • Sells and tracks cosmetic products
  • Distributes mail
  • Prepares for next day scheduled appointments

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1-2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer functions
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred
  • Must possess attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors
