Job Description

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a highly skilled Research Program Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Advanced Concepts Laboratory, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing a portfolio of research projects, including internal and external sponsor and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical government programs with medium-to-high risk and medium-to-high complexity
  • Ensure all required resources are available for the program
  • Build multi-disciplinary teams across the organization
  • Plan, direct, and monitor program budgets and serve as primary sponsor contact for program information inquiries
  • Author and oversee delivery of project deliverables
  • Coordinate schedules, briefing materials, minutes, and logistics associated with project meetings
  • Direct program growth by proposing new ideas to sponsors and marketing new technology or follow-on business opportunities
  • Maintain an understanding of various sponsors' interests in a given technical area
  • Coordinate with program development leads and GTRI support units on large proposals and training curriculum

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics
  • Experience successfully leading and managing technical government programs/projects with medium-to-high risk and medium-to-high complexity
  • Operational experience with military or intelligence community
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics
  • Experience managing multifaceted programs/projects from startup to closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Experience writing successful proposals as part of a cross-functional team
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement
  • Technical experience with sensing, C5ISR, electromagnetic warfare, information warfare, communications networks, cyberspace, or space technologies
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and analyses or with live, virtual, constructive experimentation

Travel Requirements: 10% - 25%
