We're looking for an ambitious Executive Culinary Director to contribute to our expanding business in the food service industry.

Job Description

Our company, Bon Appetit, is committed to two things: great food and outstanding service. We don't have standardized recipes or central commissaries, instead, our chefs and managers are expected to stay abreast of current culinary trends and bring cutting edge food into their cafes.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the culinary and food service operations, ensuring excellence in both realms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the food service operation, including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
  • Apply your knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) and contract-managed services to drive financial success.
  • Develop menus focusing on cost control, purchasing, and inventory, with an emphasis on local sourcing and sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability throughout the culinary operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Minimum of three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, high-end dining, or a comparable restaurant setting.
  • Expertise in contemporary food and catering trends, prioritizing quality, production efficiency, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in exposition cooking.
  • Previous experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services.
  • ServSafe certification is required.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $62,000 per year.
