Clinical Pathology Analyst

Job Summary:
The Clinical Pathology Analyst will serve as the primary support contact for laboratory applications within the electronic health record. This role will act as a subject matter resource for EHR application integration with other clinical applications and information systems, as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users for laboratory applications within the EHR.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise in the application area, as well as issues that impact other application teams.
- Collaborate with Epic (Wisconsin) staff to guide workflow design, build, and test the system, and analyze technical issues associated with Epic software.
- Implement requested changes to the system and serve as a liaison between end-users' workflow needs and Epic staff.
- Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and organization stakeholders to ensure the system meets business needs.
- Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for organization workflows by attending site visits and integrated sessions.
- Participate in training and work with end-users to troubleshoot problems and questions.
- Review project status and issues with leadership on an ongoing basis.
- Demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing end-user business needs.
- Exhibit open-mindedness and ability to examine ideas from multiple angles.
- Take ownership of work activities and ensure timely completion.
- Recognize and seek out additional assignments or tasks, and assist others as needed.
- Communicate information clearly and concisely with project leadership and subject matter experts.
- Learn new software and systems.
- Listen attentively and repeat information to ensure accuracy.
- Seek, examine, and interpret information to determine problem causes and develop resolutions.
- Persevere in difficult situations and reach high levels of performance under stressful work conditions.
- Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician required.
- Two years of hospital laboratory experience required.
- Attain assigned EPIC (Wisconsin) Certification(s) within 90 days of employment.
