Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Bridge Design Project Manager with a passion for leadership and technical excellence to lead bridge design projects for MassDOT and other New England DOTs in our Boston office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management from start to finish, including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, invoicing, and client satisfaction.
  • Closely monitor project performance and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Engage with clients, project team firms, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Maintain quality control throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor staff engineers, providing guidance and support for their growth and skill development.
  • Develop compelling proposals that resonate with clients by leveraging your expertise.
  • Review reports, design drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates, providing guidance on design options and code requirements.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment by advocating for full inclusion and promoting diversity, equity, and employee well-being.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends through professional/technical society participation, conference presentations, and continuous learning.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in design and management of bridge projects for MassDOT.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state, with the ability to obtain licenses in additional states as required.
  • Experience with engineering design packages such as AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience working with Massachusetts, Connecticut, and/or Rhode Island DOTs.
  • Established relationships within MassDOT, MBTA, and various local public agencies.

Compensation and Benefits:
