Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Sonora Quest Laboratories. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the laboratory, their proper entry into the computer system, and the preparation of samples for analytical testing.

Responsibilities- Collect and process blood and other bodily fluids from patients, ensuring accurate patient identification and specimen integrity.
- Enter and verify patient demographics, location, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, and other pertinent information.
- Prepare and transport specimens to the technical area in a timely manner.
- Perform initial processing and preparation of samples for transport.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and department resource materials required.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license in the state of employment and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy may be required.
- Familiarity with departmental procedures and practices required.
