Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Southeast Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and performing administrative tasks.
  • Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, exams, and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, such as EKGs and blood draws.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and use fine motor skills to operate equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
