Job DescriptionCompany Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Medicine Specialist to join our team at Petco. As a key member of our hospital staff, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care.
  • Utilize problem-based approaches to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Document patient observations, findings, treatments, and diagnoses in medical records.
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory surgeries, and mass removals.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License (if applicable).
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
