Job Summary

Tru Family Dental is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health through preventative measures and education.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental hygiene procedures, including cleanings and screenings
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health
Collaborate with our dental team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication

Requirements

Current dental hygienist license in MI and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental
Prolonged periods sitting and standing
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
