We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Charge Nurse. This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong clinical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

The Charge Nurse position is responsible for facilitating and supporting the clinical and operational needs of individual inpatient care areas. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day operations to support safe throughput and access to care.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet patient needs and collaborate with leaders and staffing resource offices using established guidelines.
  • Accurately document labor management software to ensure fiscal stewardship.
  • Serve as a resource for team members and facilitate adherence to policies and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Ensure access to appropriate levels of care and facilitate clinical/operational escalation as needed.
  • Foster a calm and productive working environment.
  • Support team members in non-patient care activities such as professional development and breaks.
Patient Experience
  • Support patient experience through patient rounding, service recovery, and problem-solving.
  • C coordinate support services to address patient needs and engage with the team, patients, and visitors to optimize the patient experience.
  • Promote closed-loop communication and collaboration between team members, clinical disciplines, and ancillary departments.
