Dental Assistant Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant Team Lead to join our team at Smile Magic of Lewisville. As a key member of our dental practice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists during treatments, exams, and patient consultations.
Job SummaryThe Dental Assistant Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing back-office functions, mentoring a fantastic team, and growing professionally. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Dental Assistant looking for their next big challenge.
About This Role:
- Patient Prep: Greet and prepare patients for exams, complete precise digital charting, and verify codes.
- Imaging Expert: Capture high-quality x-ray images.
- Treatment Assistant: Assist dentists with a variety of procedures, including RCTs, Cord Packing, Crown Seat, and Denture Adjustments.
- Sedation Savvy: Get familiar with sedation treatments - we provide additional training.
- Sterilization Station: Delegate and support the setup and sterilization of exam and treatment rooms.
- Patient Advocate: Discuss treatment options, provide teeth polishing and sealant placement (with required certifications), and create uplifting patient environments.
- Team Leader: Teach team members scheduling, patient care, and sterilization standards.
- Process Improvement: Manage patient flow and streamline visits, ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Guidance Guru: Guide patients through post-care instructions and assist with company-provided prizes and dismissal.
- HIPAA Hero: Understand and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Inventory Insider: Complete inventory orders and stick to the office budget.
About You:
- Licensing: Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing.
- Experience: 2+ years of dental assisting experience.
- Certifications: Sealant Placement (course provided if 2+ years of experience), Nitrous Monitoring, and Coronal Polishing preferred (courses provided if 1+ years of experience).
- Skills: Proficient in digital X-rays and charting.
- Leadership: Experience training team members and conducting challenging conversations.
- Key Traits: Strong communicator, self-starter, flexible, innovative, highly engaged, detail-oriented, and a team player with stellar customer service skills.
