Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant 2 to join our Civil Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support, manage internal and external communications, and develop marketing materials.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service, including responding to emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the department, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for faculty, staff, and students, as needed.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the department's initiatives and accomplishments.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A good knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, filing, and office terminology.
  • An ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to interact effectively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Additionally, you will have experience in interpreting, applying, and explaining complex information, independently solving problems, and performing liaison activities in a work setting.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $19.04 per hour. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
