Data Management and Implementation Director

About the Role:

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our data management and implementation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for combining healthcare supply chain business knowledge with analytics and database skills to improve outcomes and optimize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead conversations with business and technical stakeholders regarding data aspects of new facility implementations and manage existing implementations.
  2. Analyze and understand inbound data from provider facilities, including non-labor spend and other financial data.
  3. Provide gap analysis to identify where the facility's data meets requirements and where it does not.
  4. Define and gather requirements for successful engagement completion or product implementation.
  5. Build configurations, business rules, and data mapping using internal tools.
  6. Test data import and workflow and serve as a point person for data acquisition updates.
  7. Work with facility project teams and IT to coordinate receipt and import of historical and ongoing daily data into the database.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant degree in Business, Software Programming, or Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  2. 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  3. Experience with healthcare Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and healthcare supply chain bolt-on technologies required.
  4. Working knowledge of healthcare supply chain, including data, manufacturer vs supplier and vendor, catalog numbers, Unit of Measure (UOM), Pack Factors, Electronic Data Interface (EDI), and Punch-outs required.
  5. Basic knowledge of File Transfer Protocols (FTP), such as FileZilla, MoveIt, PSFTE, and WinSCP required.
  6. Advanced understanding of MS SQL for data querying, data analysis, and script development required.
  7. Experience in software development and an understanding of programming concepts and logic flow of applications preferred.
  8. Basic knowledge of batch languages and Windows Task Scheduler, ability to modify existing logic from an existing script preferred.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to facilitate the exchange of information with provider business groups such as Accounts Payable (AP), Materials Management (MM), and IT teams preferred.
