Job Summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Clinical Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide clinical services to families of children admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Units and other areas of the Hospital when the NICU is over census.

About the Role

As a Clinical Care Specialist, you will work closely with our medical teams to provide support and resources to families during their child's hospital stay. Your primary focus will be on providing emotional support, connecting families with community resources, and advocating for their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to families of children admitted to the NICU and other Hospital areas">
  • Work closely with medical teams to identify family needs and develop plans to meet those needs">
  • Connect families with community resources and support services">
  • Advocate for families' needs and rights within the Hospital">
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • ">
  • A Master's degree in Social Work or a related field">
  • 2+ years of experience working with families in a healthcare setting">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills">
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment">
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services">
