Job Overview

Brockton Area Multi-Servi is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developing connections and meaningful relationships in their community.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and access for all. They will be able to empower individuals to advocate, make decisions, and become more independent in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate community relationships and friendships that align with individuals' interests.
  2. Assist individuals in completing personal care tasks, including toileting, showering/bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  3. Support individuals in completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
  4. Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP's) and behavioral plans, as well as medication treatment plans.
  5. Utilize Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) practices to create a thoughtful and supportive environment.
  6. Communicate with individuals in their preferred method and language.
  7. Assist with access to community, including transportation, to individuals served.
