Senior Financial Controller

The Vice President of Accounting and Finance will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer to drive the direction, management, and evaluation of all accounting activities. This role will ensure timely preparation of financial and operational reports for management and other stakeholders in compliance with all standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive execution of all accounting, reporting, and control activities to ensure efficient, effective, reliable, and timely performance in accordance with Company policy, procedure, standard business processes, and U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee month, quarter, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely delivery of accurate results and associated reporting, including SEC filings if the Company operates in a public environment.
• Lead monthly meetings, develop common templates, maintain a continuously updated list of open accounting and control issues, and drive resolution to ensure Corporate requirements are met.
• Ensure account reconciliations are accurately prepared and reviewed on a monthly basis and peer-reviewed on a periodic basis in alignment with Company objectives.
• Direct all aspects of tax strategy, daily work, analysis, and responses to any government queries surrounding federal and state income taxes, sales and use, and quarterly and annual provisions.
• Support the planning and budgeting activities led by the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis group.
• Develop and maintain high-quality relationships with key audit, tax, business system, and other applicable vendors.
• Drive productivity, continuous process improvement, and transformation in the accounting function to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Continuously evaluate, mentor, coach, and develop the team to achieve the highest standards of performance possible, both technically and in their ability to work in cross-functional business partnerships to deliver results.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices in accounting.
• Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
