As a Pharmacy Team Leader at Meijer, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This includes staffing selection and hiring, preparing and conducting performance reviews, documenting and applying disciplinary actions, and filling prescriptions safely and executing pharmacy programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians to achieve staffing needs and goals
* Prepare and conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians
* Document and apply disciplinary actions as necessary
* Fill prescriptions safely and execute pharmacy programs, including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services, and profitability of the pharmacy
* Educate and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to be effective team members
* Motivate team members to perform to their highest level and hold them accountable for results
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy
* Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice
* Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
* CPR certification
* 1 year of experience in retail/community practice
* 1 year of management experience (preferred)
* Working knowledge of pharmacy system, working knowledge of policies and procedures, understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates in
