Bench Technician

Century Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Bench Technician. This position provides maintenance, service, and support for computer hardware, software, networking, and telephony equipment.

The ideal candidate will have equivalent to completion of two years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or two years of general computer installation, maintenance, and repair experience. CompTia A+ certification is required, and CompTia Server+ certification or equivalent is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software.
• Installs, assembles, and configures computers, servers, monitors, network infrastructure, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, e-mail, network, and peripheral equipment problems.
• Works with computer internal components to diagnose and replace as necessary.
• Manages the return process for defective equipment.

Requirements:

• Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment.
• Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
• Strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
• Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
