Early Childhood Educator

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, incorporating developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example, modeling and coaching our teaching team to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Plan and execute individual and group activities that foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth, promoting a love for learning in our students.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents through progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations, upholding the highest standards of quality and care.
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment, adhering to strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, and ensuring the security and well-being of our students.
- Supervise and guide teacher assistants and classroom volunteers, ensuring they are following planned activities, safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
- Accurately maintain records, forms, and files, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with our team.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan, committed to continuous quality improvement and staying abreast of best practices in early childhood education.
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with a strong foundation in child development and education.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in basic computer skills and software applications.
- A high level of energy and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
- A deep understanding of child development principles and practices, with a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Must pass a thorough background check and health screening, ensuring the highest standards of safety and well-being for our students.
- Requirements include the ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting, as well as maintaining a high level of visual acuity and fine motor skills.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification, demonstrating a commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
Personal Time Off:
One year of service earns eight (8 hour) paid days off
Two to five years of service earns thirteen (8 hour) paid days off
Five+ years of service earns eighteen (8 hour) paid days off

After 60 days of employment, Agape Center for Care will pay half of the premium of an approved market health insurance plan for the staff member only.
