Job Summary:

As a Custodian with Indian Hills Community College, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Centerville Campus. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning restrooms, as well as assisting with unloading freight and performing minor maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with unloading freight and performing minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Keep facilities and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues to the Facilities Supervisor.
  • Ensure that restrooms are clean and well-stocked, and that trash is properly disposed of.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Custodial training or experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift or move cartons, furniture, and materials up to 60 pounds.
  • Knowledge of building cleaning, operation of janitorial equipment, and general labor work.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
